Chestnut-Sided Warbler

One of my favorite little warblers is the beautiful Chestnut-Sided Warbler. Seems like there are always a few around during our annual Magee Marsh spring migration visit. Prothonotary Warblers

Yesterday, we enjoyed a visit and “expedition” with friends from Columbus; Arnie & Shelia. For years Arnie had been telling me about an area where Prothonotary Warblers nest, and I have wanted to see and photograph them. Indigo Buntings

I spent a few well deserved hours at Buck Creek State Park last Sunday. At the Visitor’s Center, I was delighted to hear an Indigo Bunting in the wooded area below the Overlook. It was a perfect afternoon for photography, and this bird was taking full advantage of the afternoon sun!
